About Naryan Thapa



Narayan (pronounced Nah-ren) Thapa is licensed guide with 7 years experience trekking in Nepal. He was born in Khotang, near Solukhumbu but now currently resides in Nepal's capital city, Kathmandu, with his wife and 2 1/2 year old son. He is a university graduate with a degree in Management.

Narayan is a seasoned, knowledgable guide and is a person who constantly pushes himself to learn more. He has trekked through Nepal quite extensively. Here is a list treks he has done and the number of times he has done them. The treks are listed as easy (Upper Mustang) to difficult (Kanchenznga). The numbers indicate how many times he has been a guide for the route.

Narayan is also available as a Kathmandu city guide and can arrange shorter trips throughout the Kathmandu Vally.

Narayan's favourite routes are the Annapurna Base Camp, Jomson and Marpha (for the delicious apple pie!) Some of his favourite stops are Namche Bizzarre, Ngawal, Lukla and Tangboche.

$15/day (includes food and lodging)
- requires 40% in advance
- will hire porters upon request (additional $10/day/ porter. Porters are to carry no more than 35kg each).
